toronto albany club wedding, sarah & massimo

It was a pleasure designing Sarah and Massimo’s wedding because it put my sketching skills to the test for all the lovely architecture details. The entrance captured our attention because of the classical acanthus motif worked into the stone. We decided to have the sketch printed on semi-translucent vellum and it would swing open via a gold brad (the doorknob), to “welcome and invite guests” into their wedding. Not only was the door sketched, other motifs like stone art, topiary and an olive branch made up part of the collection. There were so many heart fluttering embellishments like vintage stamps, gilded wax seal, handmade paper, custom toile wrap, embossing, and the softest raw edge silk ribbon. The wax seal for the invitation is a custom Azalea flower, a nod to his beloved late mother.

Massimo’s heritage is Italian, and we decided the olive branch would carry over to their day of items. That included the olive wax seal in different colors to represent the guest's selected meal choice, the olive sketch on the olive oil - fig oil favor from Della Terra, seating chart etc.
